Before applying a home tan take a shower and exfoliate thoroughly. 2. Wait at least 3 hours following your shower before using the tan 3. Do NOT use any moisturisers etc between showering and applying the tan 4. Do not exfoliate again for seven days. If a use has oily or moisturised skin the lotion sits on top of this and does not penetrate the skin rather than just sits on it.
